Evening Activities

Starting Monday at 6 PM with the Opening Ceremony, you will meet the other carvers, hear the
announcements and the introduction of instructors. After the introduction you will get a chance
to meet the instructors, see their seminar projects and sign up for classes that still have
openings. To ensure a place in a seminar, we recommend that you register early.

Classes are open to everyone.

Some of the information below is also covered on the food page, but we wanted to ensure the
information was covered.

Monday evening there will be a social with soft drinks and Walking Tacos.

Tuesday evening after the pot luck, we will be introducing our first Speed Whittling Contest.
The contest will be open to everyone and it is free.  A blank will be provided and more details to
follow

Wednesday evening brings the infamous chili dump and Blanket Trade. The Blanket Trade is
a fun item swap where everyone is entertained watching each other swap tools, supplies, junk,
treasure and even money. Bring some old 'stuff' to trade for different old stuff. Be sure to check
out pictures on the Activities page.

Thursday is an open evening to enjoy on your own or with friends.

Friday night is music and hot dog night. Bring an instrument and join in the music and story
telling.

In addition to the above activities we will continue with the Ornament Exchange and Cane
Segment Raffle.

Cane Segment
Each attendee is expected to bring a completed cane
segment. Size 2 x 2 x3 with an 11/16th hole pre
-drilled.
These will be assembled into friendship canes and
raffled off on Friday.  Segments should be turned in by
Wednesday afternoon.
Each attendee will be given one raffle ticket when they
register. Additional tickets will be available for purchase.
The sale of the tickets will help off-set any other costs
that we might occur...so buy lots and lots !!!

Ornament Exchange
Each attendee is encouraged to bring Christmas
ornaments for an exchange which will take place
just before the trade blanket. F
eel free to bring up to
two ornaments to exchange.

Trade Blanket
An individual offers any item and places it in the middle of the blanket.  People then offer
"trades" by placing their item on the edges of the blanket.  The orginal person then can
choose which item to accept for trade, or say "no trade" to all offers.  Lot's of fun & laughs.
