Site 21 in very early spring. This area was closed during the winter months.
Same Site 21 but in the middle of summer. Man, what a difference. Mother nature decided to see how wet she could get us.
We won.
The campground is set off from the main park by a one-lane narrow bridge over the Duck River. The trees are dense and will provide good shade in the summer. I was spoiled by having water on-site. I can do without electricity (which was also on-site), but I loved not having to carry water to the site.

There are 51 campsites with water and electrical hookups, grills, picnic tables and hard-surface pads. A dump station is available during the summer months. One of the two restroom facilities includes showers.

Camp sites are heavily wooded with separation between the sites. Camping is equally popular by both RV's and tents/pop-ups. While the campground has a remote feel, it is actually within 10 minutes of a variety of restaurants.
