'Grandpa' Dave Kublank
Grandpa Dave has been carving for more than 25 years. (you would think
at some point he would get it right).  He has studied with such carvers as
Harley Refsal, Jeff Phares, the Bishops and others. Dave has also learned
something from every class he has taught.

He is a retired Junior High Band Director with 37 years in the trenches
behind him.  Dave has as much passion for teaching wood carving as he did
when he taught music. The students are the same, just older.  He now
teaches adult evening carving classes at Dist. 128 in Libertyville, IL and has
taught at The Clearing and at Boulder Jct., both in Wisconsin as well as
many other one and two day classes and seminars.

He is a member of the Carving Characters Wood Carving Club in Lake
County, IL.
This will be Grandpa Dave's 6th. year at the GOW. He enjoys teaching Flat
Plane carving, which the Scandinavians call Carving.
