The park has 117 campsites, all with picnic tables and grills, electric and water hookups. There are 30 tent and pop-up sites available. Three bathhouses provide hot showers, lavatories and commodes. There is a campstore (open seasonally), souvenir shop, laundromat and a dumping station for self-contained camping rigs. The campground is open year-round and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Maximum stay is two weeks.
I was very pleased with the "Ranger activity"; meaning, the park rangers were out-and-about. One even walked through our campground asking how campers were doing and offering assistance in setting-up if needed. A first for me in my many travels.
Overall, a very nice place to camp and I would highly recommend it. However, I would expect the park to fill quickly during the summer months and 3 day weekends due to its closeness to Nashville.
