I did not camp within the Smoky Mountains park area due to the fact
none of the parks campground bathhouses had showers. I was
attending a two day wood carving class in Townsend, TN and did not
want to go into class each day smelling like one of the local black
bears.
However, I did find a very nice private campground less than a mile
from the Cades Cove park entrance. Little River Village Campground
is family owned/operated and very nice. The campground had one of
the nicest bath facilities I have come across. I was pleased to find a
very nice site right on the banks of the Little River that flows down
from the Smoky's.
I have a link at the bottom of this page to both the campground and
the woodcarving class I attended.

Site was up on the banks. Look at the next picture to see what's at the base.
