Red Top is an extremely nice state park to camp within.  I camped at this site during a trip to visit my son and daughter that live in Atlanta.  Sites are designated my a color reflector at each site; blue for tents and red for RV's.  Each tent site had a level pad, table, fire ring and lantern post. Be choosie, many sites are right on the water.  The understory isn't great, but most sites are well spaced making them very private.  My son camped with me and we were able to setup both tents within the padded area.
Please feel free to send me an email if you have questions or comments:
The park itself has widely varied resouces. In addition to tent and trailer sites and cottages, the park has a 33-room lodge and conference center with a restaurant. Also in the park are a boat ramp, marina, swimming, beach, picnic area and pavillion available for rental. 12 miles of hiking trails include the 5 and a half-mile Homestead Trail, which allows access to a rebuilt 1860's homestead on the park grounds
