Chilhowee's 82 campground loops are open from early April to late October. The day-use areas and 12 overflow tent sites are open year round. There are plenty of recreation opportunities at Chilhowee campground. From April to September campground hosts are available. Activities include a 7-acre lake for swimming, approximately 25 miles of hiking and biking trails, and a scenic waterfall.

Trailer Dump station, bathhouses, flush toilets, warm water showers in loops A, B and F, electric hook-ups in loops A & B, drinking water, grills, picnic tables, and lantern posts at each site. The day-use area includes picnic sites and a group picnic area.

Please limit the number to five people per campsite. Only two vehicles are allowed per campsite. Campsites vary in price ranging from $12 to $20 a night. Day use fee is $3 per day and permit must be displayed in car. Alcohol is prohibited. Pets must be on a leash. No pets on the beach.
